Ding 2013: “Little is known about this author. She was living at Hagley in 1882 when the English Dialect Society published her Glossary of West Worcestershire Words. She published another novel, Revenged (1887) which does not contain dialect apart from continuous hypercorrect-h in the speeches of one of the characters.”
