DING 2013: “Born at Truro, Cornwall, he began writing poetry at an early age. He became a curate and fulfilled his ministry at Lamorran, Co. and then at Kenton, Exmouth and Manaccan in Devonshire. In 1806 he returned to Cornwall. He wrote The History of Cornwall (1816, in 7 vols.) and The History of Devonshire /(1793-1806, in 3 vols.)”
